Cast off knitwise loosely – use a larger size needle, or a stretchy cast off

Sew seam along the sole

Sew back seam

Darn away ends

Fold down the cuff

To make the fringed edging ~

Cut 3” lengths of yarn – you will need 22 for each bootie

Fold a length in half and use a crochet hook to pull the loop through a cast off stitch, and then pull the ends of the length through the loop. Tie securely with a double knot. This is a little fiddly - but it gets easier with practice - and it really is worth it !

Continue around the bootie, putting one length in each cast off stitch. Trim the ends of the fringes if they are uneven.

I thought some pictures might help ~
