Finished Size: Approximately 11 cm high x 9 cm wide

  • Oddments of dk yarn in two colours
  • Buttons for eyes or wiggly eyes, scrap felt for beak
  • Small amount of toy stuffing
  • 2 strands knitted together
  • 6 mm needles

Cast on 12 stitches

Row 1: * purl 1, k1, repeat to end

Row 2: knit

Repeat these 2 rows for 6 cm

Knit every row for 5 cm

Knit the 2 pattern rows for 11 cm

Cast off

Fold over

Sew 2 sides, add stuffing and sew up remaining side
