Knitted Hexagonal Dog Blanket

Requirements:

300g Double Knitting Wool
1 x 4mm Knitting Needles

The blanket shown here has been made out of odd scraps of wool left over from other projects inserted completely randomly.

Instructions:

Abbreviations.

sts Stitches

K Knit (number after it refers to how many stitches to knit)

M1 Knit two stitches into next stitch (increasing number of stitches by one)

To make hexagon (make 6 alike):
Using 4mm needles cast on 1 stitch.

Row 1 (right side row): M1 (2sts)
Row 2 (wrong side row): Purl to end
Row 3: M1, M1 (4sts)
Row 4: Purl to end
Row 5: M1, K2, M1 (6 sts)
Row 6: Purl to end
Row 7:
knit to end
Row 8: Purl to end

These 8 rows form the pattern. Continue working in pattern, increasing 1 stitch at either end of rows 1, 3 and 5 until there are 102sts on the needle, ending on row 6 of the pattern. Cast off in knit.
Sew all the triangles together and securely sew in the ends.
