Knitted Valentine Heart Scrubby

VALENTINE HEART SCRUBBY

You will need:

  • Red Heart Scrubby yarnAny dish cotton. I used Sugar & Cream
  • Size 10 straight metal needles (Note: this is a pretty tough knit, capable of snapping wooden or plastic needles!)


Instructions:

Body: Holding both scrubby and cotton yarn together…c/o 1 stitch.

Row 1: K1
Row 2: kfb, K1
Row 3: kfb K to end
repeat row 3 until you have 22 stitches

K 3 rows straight across

(Bind off 1 stitch, K to end) for 4 rows (18 st left)

First Lobe:

K9, turn (leave remaining nine stitches on needle, but work on first 9 for now).

Working on these stitches only:
Bind off 1 st, K to end
Repeat last row until you have 6 st
Bind Off 2 stitches, K to end
Repeat last row until you have 2 st left.

K2tog. Finish off.

Second Lobe:

Rejoin yarn to remaining stitches at center of heart,
K1 row
Bind off 1 st, K to end
Repeat last row until you have 6 st
Bind Off 2 stitches, K to end
Repeat last row until you have 2 st left.

K2tog. Finish off.

Then comes my least favorite, but most necessary part: sewing in ends.
