DIY The Folgate Hat

The Folgate hat is a very simple one. It is a hat with a foldable brim. You’re free to add a pom-pom or even some extra embellishment to this hat. Materials needed:

  • Yarn: Aran / Medium yarn (category #4).
  • Needles: 4.5mm (US7) 40cm (16”) circular knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge. You can also use circular needles with a longer cord if you prefer the magic loop method or a set of double-pointed needles.
  • 4.5mm (US7) 80cm (16”) circular knitting needles or a set of 5 double-pointed needles for decreasing the crown.
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch marker (optional)
