Chunky Braided Beanie

Chunky beanies are very essential for the cold seasons. I just love chunky beanies and scarves as they give all the warmth necessary for the winter and fall. A chunky braided beanie is just like a better version of a plain chunky beanie. You can see those braids that give your hat a lovely texture. So, let’s make one of these.

Materials needed:

  • Approximately 300 meters or 330 yards of aran weight yarn
  • US Size 10.5 (6.5mm) 16″ circular knitting needles
  • US Size 13 (9mm) 16″ circular knitting needles
  • US Size 13 (9mm) Double Pointed Knitting needles (optional)
  • Stitch marker(s)
  • Large sewing needle
  • Scissors
  • 6 inch faux fur pom pom
