Simple Soup Bowl Cozy

Keep your palms protected from that hot soup. Also, soup bowl cozies keep your soup warm for a longer period. It is certainly a win-win situation. So, we definitely have to make some of these. Keep in mind that cotton yarns will be your best option for this as they are best for heat. So, let’s have fun and make these cozies in different colors for friends and family.

Materials needed:

  • 200 yds 100% COTTON worsted weight yarn such as Lily Sugar ‘n Cream (takes more than one ball). Do NOT use acrylic or wool as they are a fire hazard in a microwave
  • US size 5 (3.75 mm) Circular needle
  • Double point needles (or 2 circs) for bottom finishing 
  • 4 Stitch markers
  • Waste yarn if using the provisional cast on method
